SPARTA
This program was designed to provide Commercial General Liability, Excess General Liability, Professional Liability and Non-Owned Automobile Liability Insurance coverage to tradesman, artisans, contractors and tenants, who would not otherwise be able to provide the insurance needed to successfully bid and compete for city, county and public entity contracts.
*IMPORTANT NOTE - The public entity that you are working with must be a participant in the programs in order for you to obtain an insurance quote or indication. Please click here to see the list of Participating Entities.
HOW DOES SPARTA WORK?
The artisan, consultant, contractor, vendor or tradesman would complete the SPARTA Application or call (800) 420-0555 / (415) 986-3999. One of our licensed professionals would determine the scope of work performed and what coverage is required by the public entity. After identifying the kind of work performed, contract value and length of contract, we would email, fax or mail a quotation.
The quotation contains specific information about the insurance coverage and requirements for purchase. If the SPARTA Program is elected, a cashier's check or money order* for the amount of the premium would be submitted with the signed quotation. Upon receipt of this, we will issue a Certificate of Insurance based on the Public Entity's pre-approved master policy and coverage will be activated.
*Credit card payment is also available, however an additional fee of approximately $3 per $100 of premium will be added to your quotation to cover processing fees.
